XSeed Chain

XSeed Chain is a new layer-1 integrating to the industry leading gaming blockchain infrastructure provided by Ava Labs. Avalanche subnets are a dynamic set of validators working together to achieve consensus on the state of a set of blockchain network and used by leading gaming projects such as Shrapnel and Gunzilla Games.

As we are a Web 2.5 project, we will reduce decentralisation in favour of efficiency and usability. The value that can be harnessed by utilising AvaCloud and the associated mature infrastructure is extensive. Seamless integration to Layer Zero, Third Web and other world class and fully audited solutions will benefit MXS Games by allowing us to focus on what we do best — build games!

As a game studio, we will naturally have a large number of games eventually creating millions of transactions. In order to provide the best possible player experience, it is essential that we minimise transaction fees, have the ability to increase TPS and scale up on demand. Having our own Layer 1 allows us to set the parameters that best suits our games and partners.

The reason we have our own chain is:

1. Can optimise parameters for gaming, e.g. TPS.

2. Control the gas fees and reward node validators.

3. It is an industry standard for a web3 games studios to have their own chain as demonstrated by competitors such as Gala and Immutable-X.

4. Onboard third party games to create extra utility for our native token.

5. Allows us to easily create APIs and SDKs faster and manage version control. We are able to synchronise the roadmap for game development and blockchain.

What is a subnet?

"A Subnet is a sovereign network which defines its own rules regarding its membership and token economics. It is composed of a dynamic subset of Avalanche validators working together to achieve consensus on the state of one or more blockchains. "

Subnets on Avalanche are deployed by default with Subnet-EVM, a fork of go-ethereum. It implements the Ethereum Virtual Machine and supports Solidity smart contracts as well as most other Ethereum client functionality. The XSeed Chain is already up an running in test beta: MXS Games Chain

What Is a node licence?

Node licences are NFTs that will allow the owner to claim a share of the large reward pool and also help support the gaming ecosystem. 35% of our entire XSEED supply is allocated for licence holder rewards over 10 years. The node licence NFTs have the following utilities & functions:

1. Holder rewards — Daily XSEED for NFT holders

2. NFT gives a right to operate a game server

3. Mythical node licences eligible for token airdrops

4. Mythical node licences eligible for game airdrops

5. Entry into weekly lottery. One ticket per NFT

Hardware needed to run a node?

Our design with Avalanche will not require individuals to run a node. Instead master nodes will be run by Avalanche Cloud Services. Details will be announced as we get closer to mainnet.

This would mean NFT licences holders can get rewarded and all other benefits for just holding the licence while the hosting is done by Avalanche Cloud Services. As holders do not need to run a node on PC, there will be a small hosting fee that will need to be paid instead. This is more secure, reliable and sustainable in the long term. This will improve the player experience at the expense of reduced decentralized. As we are a web 2.5 project, we trust Ava Labs (built Avalanche) to manage the chain.

When multi player competitive games are introduced, the node licence(s) can be used to run game servers (optional) to earn a share of the entry fee.

Rewards

A huge 35% of the entire supply is set aside to reward node licence holders. That is a whopping 17.5 billion tokens.

Rarities

The node licence NFTs will have different rarities based on number. A unique number is allocated based on the purchase order and that dictate the type with Mythical & Legendary being the most prestigious and limited in number. Usually the highest rarities are the most expensive but in this case, they are the cheapest and given on a FCFS basis (first come, first serve, fair launch).
